Birchbox's Chest Hair Stencils

Birchbox's Chest Hair Stencils

By Kristin Kipke Humor

Yesterday, Birchbox Men’s announced their new line of chest-hair stencils; in shapes like the Superman and Batman logos or random letters you could use to adorn your pectoral fur. It seemed both awesome and hilarious, something that is usually right in Stray Monkey’s wheelhouse. Check out the “How To Use” section:

You’ll need the help of a couple of friends or loved ones for this three-person project. First, select your stencil. Then, after shampooing and towel-drying your chest hair, lie down—preferably in your driveway or on your porch to avoid damaging your carpet. As your friends manually press the stencil onto your chest, gently slather the lotion onto the exposed chest hair area surrounding the edges. Let sit for 30 minutes and then wash off.

As a woman, I know that I’d like to be seen with a well-shorn-and-stenciled Hulk or Zorro on the beach this summer. Unfortunately, Birchbox was pulling off one of the most well-crafted April Fool’s jokes in the manscaping industry. Maybe next year, Bros.

In honor of this chest hair prank, here’s a chest hair infomercial from the classic TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway just for the heck of it.
