Throwback Friday: The Backin Up' Lady Remixed

Throwback Friday: Backin Up' Lady REMIX

We love the mid-west! Where else could you get a witness to a robbery that sounds like this?

Diana Radcliff walked into a convenience store in Kansas City, Missouri on September 1, 2010 and she witnessed a failed robbery attempt. Radcliff fell to the floor as her friends/amigos behind the counter started shooting at the criminals as they ran out of the building. Luckily, everyone was safe and she was able to give this amazing interview about the incident to a reporter for KMBC-TV.

Here's how she described the incident:

I was putting one more tap of coffee in my coffee cup and out of the corner of my eyes, I saw two guys come in, one with a black hoodie and one with a white hoodie. And the guy with the black hoodie said, 'We want your money. Everyone up front and down!' And I'm like, 'Why did I need coffee now?'

The guy in the black starts coming down, and I'm like, 'Don't look. Don't look. Don't look. So I'm putting my hair down, you know. He comes right to me and goes, 'Get down now.' And I go, 'Yes, sir.'

The Aftermath

An online comedy group called the Gregory Brothers saw the video and decided to make a remix that was viewed over 10 million times. When asked about the video, Radcliff said they should have made a song about her family instead. "Why'd you chose me?" she said during a follow-up interview with KMBC. "You could've chosen my mother. Or my brother. Go get them. They're funnier than I am."

The original video can be found here, and the remixed version of the interview is below. We dare you to not get that song stuck in your head.
